View GSA Schedule pricing on GSA AdvantageEliminate battery dependency. Operate from any power source.
In expeditionary command posts, FOBs, and vehicle-mounted positions, the continuous battery resupply requirement for tactical radios is a significant logistics burden. Every hour a radio operates from a MIL-STD battery is an hour closer to a resupply run — or a dead radio at the wrong moment.
The PTS Battery Replacement Unit (BEHR-0001 v2) solves this directly. By enabling key tactical radios to operate from virtually any available AC or DC power source — generator, vehicle electrical system, shore power, or international AC grid — the Battery Replacement Unit eliminates battery dependency for fixed and semi-fixed positions entirely. Batteries are conserved for the missions that actually require them: dismounted patrol, rapid dismount, emergency backup.
The Battery Replacement Unit accepts AC input from 85–264V at 47–64 Hz — covering generators and AC grids worldwide — and DC input from 10–50 VDC, covering the full range of military and commercial vehicle electrical systems. When both AC and DC are available simultaneously, the Battery Replacement Unit automatically selects AC. No manual switching. No configuration. Connect power, key up, operate.

Where the Battery Replacement Unit performs
Expeditionary Command Post
Fixed CP positions can operate key radios continuously from generator or shore power — no battery resupply required. Batteries reserved for mobile and dismounted elements.
Forward Operating Base
Long-duration FOB operations benefit most from battery elimination. The Battery Replacement Unit enables 24/7 radio operation from FOB generator or solar/battery power infrastructure.
Vehicle-Mounted Operations
Connect directly to vehicle DC power (10–50 VDC) — operates from HMMWVs, LMTVs, commercial trucks, and any vehicle in the 12V–48V range without additional adapters.
Garrison & Training Range
Standardize radio power management training. Teach Soldiers battery-free operation procedures for fixed positions — reducing logistics habits that carry forward to the field.
How to order
The PTS Battery Replacement Unit is available through multiple procurement channels. US military and government customers can order via GSA Schedule, CHS-6 / Leidos, DLA SOE/TLSP, FedMall, or directly from PTS.
DLA SOE/TLSP
Special Operational Equipment — Tailored Logistics Support Program. Order via MIPR/MILSTRIP; one-time FOPOC registration with DLA required (SOECustomerRegistration@dla.mil).

Frequently asked questions
The PTS Battery Replacement Unit (part number BEHR-0001 v2) is compatible with the AN/PRC-117G Falcon III, AN/PRC-160, AN/PRC-158, AN/PRC-167, RF-7800M-MP, and RF-7800H-MP tactical radios. All are L3Harris platform radios. Contact PTS to confirm compatibility with your specific radio variant or configuration.
The PTS Battery Replacement Unit accepts AC input from 85–264 VAC at 47–64 Hz — covering generators, domestic shore power, and international power grids worldwide — and DC input from 10–50 VDC (Mil-STD-1275E), covering the full range of military and commercial vehicle electrical systems. When both AC and DC are connected simultaneously, the Battery Replacement Unit automatically selects AC with no manual intervention required.
Yes. The PTS Battery Replacement Unit enables compatible radios to operate from vehicle DC power (10–50 VDC) without a Vehicular Adapter Assembly. This simplifies vehicle-mounted radio installations and reduces the number of components required.
No. The PTS Battery Replacement Unit has no internal battery, which optimizes its operational temperature range (-40°C to +71°C). It provides continuous conditioned power from connected AC or DC sources. For applications requiring battery backup, the Battery Replacement Unit is used in conjunction with external power systems such as the PTS E-Kit™ portable power source.
For fixed and semi-fixed positions — expeditionary command posts, FOBs, and vehicle-mounted positions — the Battery Replacement Unit enables compatible radios to operate continuously from available AC or DC power, eliminating the need for MIL-STD battery resupply at those positions. This reduces the battery logistics requirement and allows available batteries to be concentrated on dismounted and mobile elements where there is no alternative power source.
Yes. The PTS Battery Replacement Unit is available through GSA Schedule (contract 47QSWA22D008V, NAICS 334220) and the CHS-6 / Leidos contract (W15P7T-23-D-0003). Government Purchase Card (GPC) is accepted for direct orders. PTS Cage Code is 06AE7.
