Built for the Army’s new Combat Net Radio

The PTS AS0004-CNR-4T is purpose-built for the Army’s Combat Net Radio modernization — supporting the RT-1523E/F SINCGARS ASIP, the L3Harris RT-1702, and the Thales AN/PRC-7350 (RT-2129) in a single Low SWaP docking station.

The CNR-4T delivers regulated 26.5 VDC output from any available AC or DC power source worldwide and can simultaneously power two radios and two power amplifiers — making it the right choice for command posts requiring multi-radio installations without a large footprint.

No assembly. No specialized tools. Connect power, dock the radio, establish comms. The same rapid setup philosophy PTS has delivered for 30 years, engineered for the CNR era.

Technical specifications

Where the CNR-4T performs

Expeditionary Command Post

Multi-radio CNR and SINCGARS operations from a single Low SWaP docking station.

CNR Platform Transition

Bridge legacy SINCGARS and new CNR platforms during fielding without duplicate docking station investments.

Forward Operating Base (FOB)

Universal AC/DC power input for generator or battery operation worldwide.

Tactical & Non-Tactical Vehicles

Install CNR communications in tactical and commercial vehicles without permanent modification.

Combat Operation Center (COC)

Sustained multi-radio operations with conditioned regulated power output.

Electronic Maintenance Facilities

Test and maintain RT-1523, RT-1702, and RT-2129 CNR systems with consistent regulated power.

Backwards compatible with SINCGARS

The AS0004-CNR-4T supports the RT-1523 SINCGARS ASIP alongside the L3Harris RT-1702 — enabling units to maintain SINCGARS comms capability during the Army's transition to modernized Combat Net Radio platforms without a separate docking station.

Frequently asked questions

The PTS AS0004-CNR-4T is compatible with the RT-1523E/F SINCGARS ASIP, the L3Harris RT-1702, and the Thales AN/PRC-7350 (RT-2129) Combat Net Radio. It can simultaneously power two radios and two power amplifiers from a single Low SWaP docking station.

In 2022 the US Army awarded Combat Net Radio production contracts to L3Harris and Thales to modernize the force and phase out legacy SINCGARS radios. The L3Harris CNR is the RT-1702, a modernized successor to the RT-1523; the Thales CNR is the AN/PRC-7350 (receiver-transmitter RT-2129), fielded as a drop-in replacement for the RT-1523 family using existing mounts, amplifiers, and ancillaries. The PTS AS0004-CNR-4T supports the RT-1523 and RT-1702 and is designed to support the AN/PRC-7350.

The RT-1702 is the L3Harris SINCGARS VHF Combat Net Radio — a modernized successor to the RT-1523 fielded under the Army's CNR modernization program. The PTS AS0004-CNR-4T supports the RT-1702 alongside the legacy RT-1523 SINCGARS ASIP in a single docking station.

Yes. The AS0004-CNR-4T supports the RT-1523 SINCGARS ASIP alongside the L3Harris RT-1702, and the Thales AN/PRC-7350 (RT-2129). Units transitioning from SINCGARS can use a single CNR-4T docking station throughout the transition without requiring separate legacy and modern-CNR docking stations.

SWaP stands for Size, Weight, and Power. A Low SWaP design minimizes the physical footprint and power consumption of the system — critical for expeditionary environments where space, carry weight, and generator capacity are constrained. The AS0004-CNR-4T delivers multi-radio CNR capability in a compact, lightweight form factor designed for rapid setup in the field.

Yes. PTS holds GSA Multiple Award Schedule contract 47QSWA22D008V (NAICS 334220) and CHS-6 contract W15P7T-23-D-0003 (Prime: Leidos). Military customers can also order through the DLA Tailored Logistics Support Program using MIPR/MILSTRIP processes. The PTS DLA contract SPE7LX-26-D-0050 covers the SINCGARS PSDS line only.
